Where Umm Al Quwain sits

The UAE government portal places Umm Al Quwain between Sharjah to the south-west and Ras Al Khaimah to the north-east. It covers about 720 sq km, which makes it the second smallest emirate. The city stands on a narrow peninsula called Khor Al Bidiyah, with a lagoon of mangroves and islands to the east.

That layout shapes the drive. You reach the city from Dubai along the E311 and the E11, through Sharjah and Ajman, and the road continues north to Ras Al Khaimah.

Hotels, resorts and where we collect

Umm Al Quwain has a small number of resorts, mostly on the lagoon and the beach. Flamingo Beach Resort describes itself as a base for water sports, with mangrove boating, snorkelling, fishing and crab hunting. Dreamland Aqua Park, the water park on the same coast, opens daily from 10am to 6pm, and its water rides close 30 minutes earlier. Give us the property name and a contact number for the chauffeur. What to do nearby

The official UAE portal lists the sailing, skydiving, the islands and the mangrove coast as the draws of the emirate. Al Seniah, the largest island, is home to Arabian gazelles, falcons and turtles.

A chauffeur suits a day that mixes these with a longer drive, because the stops are spread out. From the city centre, Jebel Jais near Ras Al Khaimah is about 119 km and 1 hour 39 minutes without traffic. Hatta is about 147 km and 1 hour 47 minutes. Groups, weddings and corporate runs

For a group, the Mercedes-Benz V-Class seats 6 with 4 large bags, and the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter seats 13 or 19. Both are in our own fleet. Minibuses and coaches for a larger party come through our partner network, subject to availability. A wedding or an evening out is usually the couple’s car plus a van for guests.
