From the aircraft to your chauffeur at RKT
Ras Al Khaimah International Airport has two passenger buildings: an Arrival Terminal and a Departure Terminal. Your flight lands, you walk in through the arrival gates and go straight to passport control.
Bags come out on belt 1 or belt 2. You then pass through the green or red customs channel into the landside area, where your chauffeur stands holding a board with your name. VIP guests are welcomed there in person and walked to the car on the forecourt.
Airlines that fly into RKT
RAK Airport lists 3 scheduled airlines: Air Arabia, Air India Express and IndiGo. On 17 and 18 October 2026 its live board showed arrivals from Cairo, Islamabad, Peshawar, Calicut, Kannur, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Cochin. The Ras Al Khaimah airport guide covers the terminals in more detail.
Charter airlines use RKT as well, including Ural Air, Enter Air, Smartwings, HiSky and SkyWings. Many landings fall late in the evening or after midnight, such as IndiGo from Cochin at 23:50 and Air India Express from Calicut at 00:55 on that board.

The road from RKT to Dubai
Most drives leave the airport on the E18 and join Emirates Road (E611) heading south. After about 30 km on the E611, the fastest route moves onto Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road (E311) for the run into Dubai.

Going on from the airport to Jebel Jais or Musandam

Khasab, in Oman’s Musandam peninsula, is about 102 km from RKT. The road runs north on the E18 through Al Rams to the Al Darah crossing, one of the land ports listed by the Royal Oman Police. Flying out from RKT
Departures use the separate Departure Terminal, with check-in counters 1 to 10 and boarding gates 1 to 5. Your chauffeur drops you at its entrance, not at the Arrival Terminal.
From Downtown Dubai, plan on about 1 h 20 min of driving without traffic before you reach check-in. Tell us your departure time and we set the pickup time from your hotel with the drive and traffic in mind.

Ras Al Khaimah International Airport is about 102 km from Dubai International by road and about 112 km from Downtown Dubai. Each drive takes roughly 1 hour 20 minutes without traffic, on OSRM figures. The road runs down Emirates Road (E611) and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road (E311). Allow longer at Dubai's weekday morning and evening peaks.
Where does the driver wait at RKT?
In the Arrival Terminal, on the landside just past the customs channels. Your chauffeur holds a board with your name, helps with the bags and walks you to the car on the forecourt. About 37 minutes without traffic for roughly 40 km, on OSRM figures. Al Hamra, on the mainland next to Al Marjan, is about 33 km and 30 minutes from the airport. Give your hotel name when you book, and the quote covers the drop-off at its door.
Can you collect me from a late-night flight at RKT?

Is there a bus from RAK airport to Dubai?
Yes. RAK Airport runs a free shuttle timed to flights, stopping at Deira, Al Quoz and Muhaisnah in Dubai, Muwaileh in Sharjah, Ajman and Umm Al Quwain. Metered taxis are available from the Arrivals hall 24/7. A private car goes door to door instead, with no fixed stops and a vehicle sized for your group and bags.
Can I go from RKT to Musandam?
Khasab is about 102 km from RKT, roughly 1 hour 30 minutes of driving before any wait at the border. The road crosses into Oman at Al Darah, which the Royal Oman Police lists as one of Oman's land ports.
