Which airlines fly to RKT?
Ras Al Khaimah International Airport (RKT) says on its own site that more than 15 airlines serve it, to more than 30 destinations, and that it runs 24 hours a day. The non-stop destinations it lists include Mumbai, Hyderabad and Cochin in India, Islamabad and Lahore in Pakistan, Cairo, Jeddah, Moscow, Prague, Warsaw and Katowice.

Seasonal routes come and go, so check your own booking and the airport flight board. Send your flight number on WhatsApp so your driver can follow the landing time.
What is the arrival process like at RKT?
It is a small airport, and the walk is short. You leave the aircraft, clear passport control, collect bags and enter the arrivals hall. There is no train between concourses and no terminal change to think about, unlike the Dubai airports covered in our UAE airports guide.

Your Assure driver tracks the flight and waits in arrivals with a board showing your name. The waiting clock runs from the moment the flight lands, not from the car pulling up. For the pickup details see Ras Al Khaimah airport transfers.
How far is RKT from Al Marjan, Al Hamra, RAK city, Jebel Jais and Dubai?
| Destination | Distance by road | Free-flow drive |
|---|---|---|
| Central Ras Al Khaimah | about 24 km | 22 minutes |
| Al Hamra | about 34 km | 33 minutes |
| Al Marjan Island | about 39 km | 37 minutes |
| Jebel Jais | about 54 km | 47 minutes |
| Dubai International (DXB) | about 97 km | 69 minutes |
| Sharjah Airport (SHJ) | about 80 km | 57 minutes |
| Downtown Dubai | about 112 km | 81 minutes |
| Dubai Marina | about 132 km | 98 minutes |

These come from OSRM routing on OpenStreetMap, checked on 17 October 2026, rounded, with the points set at the resort and viewpoint areas rather than a specific hotel. Your hotel may add or save a few minutes. The mountain section to Jebel Jais is slower in wet weather.
For what to do once you are there, see our guides to Jebel Jais and places to visit in Ras Al Khaimah.
Taxis and pre-booked pickups at RKT
The airport lists a free airport bus service across six stops in four emirates. We have not verified the timetable or the Dubai stops, so confirm them with the airport or RAKTA on 800 1700 before you rely on it.
Taxis in Ras Al Khaimah are regulated by RAKTA, and we do not quote a fare because we have not confirmed a current tariff. A pre-booked car avoids both questions. Assure quotes RKT pickups to Ras Al Khaimah hotels and to Dubai on WhatsApp. One point to confirm for a Dubai drop-off is licensing between emirates. We confirm the exact arrangement for your route when you ask.
For other trips from the northern emirates, our intercity transfers page lists the routes.
Flying into RKT or DXB for a RAK resort stay?
The answer is mostly about which airline you hold. If your airline serves RKT, you land about 35 minutes from Al Marjan Island and Al Hamra, and you skip a 97 km road leg. If it does not, DXB gives you far more flights, and the drive is about 1 h 10 min in light traffic, longer in the evening.

Our guide to travel from DXB to the northern emirates covers the DXB route. Fujairah Airport is the east coast option, and Sharjah Airport to Dubai shows the other northern gateway.
