Which flights use Fujairah Airport?
Fujairah International Airport has a short list of scheduled routes, and it changes. In April 2025 the airport announced through WAM, the UAE news agency, that IndiGo would fly daily to Mumbai and Kannur from 15 May 2025. Charter flights use FJR too: SalamAir ran charters via Muscat on 4 and 5 March 2026.

We could not load the airport’s own flight schedule on 17 October 2026, so this page does not list airlines beyond those two announcements. Read the operator on your ticket. If your airline does not serve FJR, Dubai International and Sharjah both have far more flights, and Fujairah is a road trip away.
Arriving at FJR: what to expect
FJR has one passenger terminal, about 3 km from Fujairah city centre by road. You clear passport control, collect your bags and pass customs into the arrivals hall.
A pre-booked chauffeur waits there with a board showing your name, helps with the bags and walks you to the car. Switch your phone on at baggage claim: the driver sends the exact pickup spot on WhatsApp. Our page on Fujairah airport pickups sets out the booking steps.
Drive times from FJR to Dubai, Al Aqah, Dibba and Khor Fakkan
These are road distances without traffic, from the FJR terminal. They come from OSRM on OpenStreetMap data, checked on 17 October 2026.

| From FJR to | Road distance | Without traffic |
|---|---|---|
| Fujairah city centre | about 3 km | about 5 min |
| Khor Fakkan | about 30 km | about 29 min |
| Al Aqah beach hotels | about 48 km | about 48 min |
| Dibba | about 71 km | about 1 h |
| Dubai International (DXB) | about 115 km | about 1 h 20 min |
| Downtown Dubai | about 120 km | about 1 h 30 min |
The Dubai run leaves Fujairah on the E84, climbs through the Hajar Mountains and joins the inland roads towards Emirates Road.
The coast road north is the E99. It passes Khor Fakkan, where cruise ships call, then the Al Aqah resorts and ends at Dibba on the Oman border. Our guide to the Khor Fakkan cruise port covers that stop, and the guide to Fujairah’s sights lists what is worth the drive.
Getting a taxi or pre-booked car at FJR
We could not confirm a taxi rank, operator or tariff at FJR from an official source, so we do not quote one. Ask your airline or hotel what runs on your date.
A pre-booked private car fixes the meeting point and the price before you fly. That matters on a 120 km mountain road, where a long wait in arrivals for a car that never comes costs you an evening. Some FJR pickups run in vehicles from our partner network, available subject to availability, because Fujairah trips use a Fujairah-licensed car. Ask for the vehicle in your quote.
For hotel-to-hotel journeys with no flight, see intercity transfers from Dubai. If you are comparing the other northern airport, read our Ras Al Khaimah airport guide. Beyond the northern emirates, the guide from DXB to the northern emirates compares each drive.
Fly into FJR, or land elsewhere and drive?
Fujairah gets fewer flights than Dubai, so many east coast guests land at DXB and drive 115 km. Al Ain faces the same choice: see our Al Ain airport guide. All seven passenger airports are compared in our UAE airports guide.

If your ticket is cheaper into Dubai, add 1 hour 20 minutes to your arrival plan. If your flight lands at FJR late at night, tell us the flight number when you book. Assure answers WhatsApp 24/7, and the chauffeur tracks the actual landing time.
