Where the stadium is

The stadium stands in the grounds of the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Centre in Al Garhoud. The district lies between Dubai Creek and Dubai International Airport, so DXB is about 9 km away by road.

The Assure office is in the same district, in the Al Nisf Building on Dubai Airport Road.

Four ways to reach the stadium

  • Metro. Take the Red Line to Al Garhoud station. The RTA renamed it from GGICO on 14 April 2025, and the organiser’s travel page still uses both names. Under the old name, it puts the stadium about a five-minute walk away. Under the new one, it mentions a free shuttle bus to the stadium.
  • Park N’ Ride. Ticket holders can use a free Park N’ Ride service to and from the stadium. It starts one hour before match times. The travel page does not give the car park’s location.
  • Taxi or ride-hailing. The organiser points visitors to street taxis, Uber and Careem.
  • Chauffeur. Your driver collects you at your hotel, your home or DXB arrivals and drops you at the stadium. The same car takes you back after the last match.

Parking, and why a chauffeur skips it

The tournament’s travel page lists the Metro, Park N’ Ride and taxis. It does not list spectator parking at the stadium itself.

Driving yourself means finding the Park N’ Ride car park before your session starts. With a chauffeur, the car drops you at the stadium and leaves. It comes back at the time you agree, or stays on call until the end of your session.

Drop-off and pickup after the match

The organiser does not publish a drop-off point for private cars or taxis. Your chauffeur confirms the drop-off and the return pickup spot with you on WhatsApp on the day.

Matches have no fixed end time, and the evening session starts at 7pm. Book the return leg as hourly standby, or agree a pickup time and message your chauffeur when the last match ends.

Drive times to Al Garhoud

From Road distance Without traffic
Dubai International (DXB) about 9 km about 20 minutes
Dubai World Trade Centre about 9 km about 10 minutes
Downtown Dubai about 13 km about 13 minutes
Dubai Marina about 31 km about 27 minutes

We took these figures from the OSRM router on OpenStreetMap roads on 17 October 2026, as the mean of both directions with no traffic. The DXB time is longer per kilometre because it includes the terminal approach roads. Add a margin on weekday evenings, when the 7pm session starts.

Ways to book a car for the tournament

  • Transfers. One way or return between your hotel or home and the stadium, for any session.
  • Hourly standby. The chauffeur stays on call while you watch, then drives you back. It suits evening sessions that run late, and you can book a chauffeur by the hour for the whole day.
  • Airport and tournament. Your chauffeur meets you in DXB arrivals with your name on a board, then covers your tournament days on the same booking.
  • Groups. Families and hospitality guests can travel together in an Assure Mercedes-Benz V-Class (6 seats) or a 13 or 19-seat Mercedes-Benz Sprinter. Coaches for larger parties are available through our partner network, subject to availability.
  • VIP cars. For finals night, the Assure fleet has the Mercedes-Benz S-Class and BMW 7 Series, 3 passengers each. A Rolls-Royce or Bentley is available through our partner network, subject to availability. See our limousine options.

Send your dates, hotel, session times and number of passengers through the contact page or on WhatsApp.

For match days, our Dubai parking guide and nol card guide cover the other ways to reach the stadium, and Dubai rush hour shows when roads are slowest.

Booking lead time and what sets the price

There is no fixed cut-off. Early requests give more choice of car, because partner-network vehicles are subject to availability. Book early for the semi-finals and finals: 19 and 20 February for the women, 26 and 27 February for the men.

These set the quote.

  • the number of days and sessions you need
  • one-way or return legs, or a chauffeur on standby through a session
  • the car you choose and how many people ride in it
  • the pickup point: a Dubai hotel, a home or DXB
  • late returns after the 7pm session

Prices are quoted on WhatsApp, 24/7.

Road closures and other Dubai events

No road closures had been announced for the 2027 tournament when we checked on 17 October 2026. Our guide to Dubai event road closures covers the events that do close roads.

The Dubai World Cup at Meydan works the same way, with transfers or a car on standby. The events page lists every event we cover.

Questions and answers

How do I get to the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships?

The stadium is in Al Garhoud, about 13 km by road from Downtown Dubai. You can take the Metro Red Line to Al Garhoud station, use the organiser's free Park N' Ride with your ticket, or take a taxi. With a chauffeur, the car collects you at your hotel, home or DXB, drops you at the stadium and brings you back after your session.

Where is the drop-off for the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships?

The organiser's travel page does not name a drop-off point for taxis or private cars. Your chauffeur confirms the drop-off and the return pickup spot with you on WhatsApp on the day. Agree it before you go in, because on the 2027 schedule every main-draw day has a session starting at 7pm, so the return trip often falls late.

Is there parking at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships?

The official travel page does not list spectator parking at the stadium. It offers a free Park N' Ride for ticket holders, starting one hour before match times, but does not say where that car park is. Ask the organiser before you drive, or book a chauffeur so the car drops you at the stadium and leaves.

What is the nearest Metro station to the tennis stadium?

Al Garhoud station on the Red Line. It was called GGICO until the RTA renamed it on 14 April 2025, and the tournament's travel page still uses both names. The organiser puts the stadium about a five-minute walk from the station and also mentions a free shuttle bus to the stadium.

How long is the drive from DXB, Downtown Dubai or Dubai Marina?

Without traffic, about 20 minutes from Dubai International (around 9 km), about 13 minutes from Downtown Dubai (13 km) and about 27 minutes from Dubai Marina (31 km). These are OSRM figures on OpenStreetMap roads, averaged over both directions and checked in October 2026. Allow extra time at peak hours.

Can the chauffeur wait while I watch the match?

Yes, if you book hourly standby. The chauffeur stays on call while you watch and drives you back when you message on WhatsApp. It suits days when you stay for both sessions: on the tentative 2027 schedule, the first three rounds of the women's week start at 11am and 7pm.

How far ahead should I book a car for the tournament?

There is no fixed cut-off, and quotes come back on WhatsApp 24/7. Book early for the semi-finals and finals, on 19 and 20 February for the women and 26 and 27 February for the men in 2027. Group vehicles and partner-network cars are subject to availability, so larger bookings need the most notice.
