Who the Model S suits
Three passengers ride in the rear. Tesla quotes 799 L of cargo space across the front and rear compartments, and with every seat in use the car takes 2 large suitcases and 2 cabin bags. That fits a couple with holiday luggage, or 3 colleagues with cabin bags.
It does not suit 4 travellers or a third large case. The Mercedes V-Class seats 6 and takes 4 large suitcases.

The BMW 5 Series is the other fully electric choice in its i5 version, with a 490 L boot. BMW also builds it as petrol and plug-in hybrid, so ask which version a partner has free.
