Where is Jumeirah Golf Estates, and how do you drive there?

Jumeirah Golf Estates is a gated golf community inland from Dubai Marina. The organiser’s directions from Dubai are to follow signs for Al Fay Road from Sheikh Zayed Road, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road or Al Khail Road.

Continue past Dubai Production City, keep right, take the exit to the roundabout, then the first right. From Abu Dhabi, follow the E311 towards Dubai and Sharjah, then the event signs. Inside the estate, event signs lead to each car park and the taxi drop-off.

From Road distance Drive time without traffic
Dubai Marina about 16 km about 20 minutes
Palm Jumeirah about 19 km about 25 minutes
Downtown Dubai about 27 km about 30 minutes
Al Maktoum International (DWC) about 30 km about 40 minutes
Dubai International (DXB) about 37 to 43 km, by direction 40 to 55 minutes

OSRM calculated these on OpenStreetMap roads, with no traffic.

Where can a taxi or chauffeur drop you?

The organiser directs taxis, Uber and Careem to a taxi drop-off area at the venue, signposted inside the estate. Pickups happen from the same area.

Your chauffeur uses the same drop-off and sends a pickup time and spot on WhatsApp. If your hospitality ticket includes parking, ask the hospitality team whether it covers a chauffeur-driven car.

Where do spectators park?

The Public Car Park is limited. For 2026 the organiser charges AED 50 per car booked online in advance, or AED 80 on arrival. Overnight parking is banned, and cars left after closing may be fined and towed.

Some hospitality tickets include parking. Members Lounge on 18 guests use Car Park 2, with buggy shuttles to the main entrance tent. Earth Lounge and Championship Chalet guests get on-site parking with shuttles.

A chauffeur removes the 19:30 or 20:30 deadline to get back to your car. It also means nobody in a hospitality group has to drive home.

By Metro and the free shuttle

The nearest station is Jumeirah Golf Estates on the Metro Red Line. Free shuttle buses run between the station and the venue from Thursday to Sunday, about every 30 minutes, subject to traffic.

  • Station to venue: 06:00 to 13:00.
  • Venue to station: 13:30 to 20:00.

The official 2026 pages announce no road closures. Expect slower traffic on the estate roads at gate opening and after the final putt each day.

Transport options for tournament week

  • Hotel to course and back: Dubai Marina and Palm Jumeirah hotels are closest, at about 20 to 25 minutes.
  • Hourly standby: the car waits for the day, for hosts moving guests between the course and dinner.
  • Fly in, then the first tee: your chauffeur meets you in arrivals with a board showing your name. Al Maktoum International (DWC) is about 30 km from the course, and Dubai International (DXB) about 37 km.
  • Group shuttles: up to 6 guests in a Mercedes V-Class, or 13 or 19 in a Sprinter. Coaches of 35 and 50 seats are available through our partner network, subject to availability. See our van and group transport.
  • VIP cars: for a client in the Members Lounge, an S-Class or 7 Series from our own fleet. Rolls-Royce and Bentley models are available through our partner network, subject to availability. Our limousine service lists the options.

Corporate hospitality days: planning cars for guests

Earth Lounge and Championship Chalet tickets are for guests over 12. Hosts often bring clients from several hotels, so plan pickups by area: Marina and Palm guests in one wave, Downtown and DIFC guests about 10 minutes earlier.

  • One V-Class carries 6 guests; a 13- or 19-seat Sprinter suits a full chalet.
  • For Sunday’s final round, gates open at 06:45, an hour earlier than the other days.
  • Book the return for before the venue closes: 19:00 on Thursday and Sunday, 20:00 on Friday and Saturday.

Companies that host every year can run bookings through a corporate account with monthly invoicing.

Our Dubai Desert Classic getting-there guide covers that event in more detail. If you plan to use the Metro leg, read the nol card guide first, and see Dubai Marina transfers from DXB if you are staying nearby.

The other big golf week: the Dubai Desert Classic

The Hero Dubai Desert Classic is the other DP World Tour stop in Dubai. The tour’s 2027 schedule sets it for 21 to 24 January 2027, and the tournament site places it on the Majlis Course at Emirates Golf Club.

Emirates Golf Club is in Emirates Hills, close to Dubai Marina and about 13 km by road from Jumeirah Golf Estates. The same booking pattern applies: hotel transfers, standby for hosts and DXB pickups. Our events page lists the other dates.

Tournament day checklist

  1. Register for the free Thursday ticket, or buy Friday to Sunday tickets, before the day.
  2. Check the gate time: 07:45, or 06:45 on Sunday.
  3. Set the pickup: from a Marina hotel, allow about 20 minutes plus morning traffic.
  4. Agree the return time before the venue closes.
  5. Pack sunscreen and wear casual golf clothes and sensible shoes with no metal spikes; the ground is uneven in places.
  6. Leave glass bottles, alcohol and picnic hampers in the car or at the hotel.

Booking cars for tournament week, and what changes the price

The championship is the season finale, and the weekend days are the busiest. Book once your tickets and hotel are fixed, and earlier for a Sprinter or a partner coach.

We send the quote on WhatsApp. For the tournament it depends on:

  • How many tournament days you need, and whether the car waits on standby.
  • The car class and how many cars, from one S-Class to a Sprinter per chalet.
  • Early starts for the 06:45 Sunday gates.
  • Airport legs from DWC or DXB, and the hotel area.

Questions and answers

How do I get to the DP World Tour Championship?

Jumeirah Golf Estates is inland from Dubai Marina, off Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road. Spectators arrive by car, taxi or the Metro to Jumeirah Golf Estates station, where free shuttle buses run to the venue. A chauffeur drops you at the taxi drop-off area, avoids the limited Public Car Park and collects you before the venue closes.

Where is the drop-off for the DP World Tour Championship?

The organiser sends taxis, Uber and Careem to a taxi drop-off area at the venue, reached by following the event signs inside Jumeirah Golf Estates. Pickups use the same area. Your chauffeur follows those signs, drops you there and sends you the pickup time and spot on WhatsApp before you go in.

Is there parking at the DP World Tour Championship?

Yes, but the Public Car Park is limited. In 2026 it costs AED 50 per car booked online in advance, or AED 80 on arrival. Overnight parking is not allowed, and cars left after closing may be fined and towed. Some hospitality tickets include parking in Car Park 2 or other on-site car parks.

When is the DP World Tour Championship?

The 2026 tournament runs from Thursday 12 to Sunday 15 November on the Earth Course. The 2027 edition is set for 11 to 14 November 2027 in the DP World Tour's published schedule. It is the last event of the season and the second of the two DP World Tour Play-Offs, after the Abu Dhabi Championship.

Where is Jumeirah Golf Estates, and how do you drive there?

From Sheikh Zayed Road, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road or Al Khail Road, follow signs for Al Fay Road. Continue past Dubai Production City, keep right, exit to the roundabout and take the first right. From Abu Dhabi, follow the E311 towards Dubai and Sharjah, then the event signs. Dubai Marina is about 16 km away.

Can the chauffeur hold our bags during the day?

Yes, on hourly standby. The organiser offers no left luggage, and it bans picnic hampers, glass bottles and alcohol. Bags and rucksacks are allowed and searched at the entrance. Shopping, jackets or a change of clothes for an evening dinner can stay in the car while you follow play on the Earth Course.
