Dubai trip plan from India: visa, arrival, transfers and tours in order

To plan a Dubai trip from India, work in this order: check your visa route with ICP or GDRFA, book flights into Dubai International, choose an area to stay, arrange your airport pickup, then add tours and the return transfer. Assure runs the pickup, the chauffeur days and the tours as one operator. Visa rules change, so confirm them first.

What is the right order to plan a Dubai trip from India?

Plan in this order, because each step limits the next one:

  1. Visa route and passport check.
  2. Flights into Dubai International (DXB) or another UAE airport.
  3. Where to stay.
  4. Airport pickup, with terminal and flight number.
  5. Days out: a city day, a desert evening, Abu Dhabi.
  6. Return transfer and departure terminal.

We do not sell flights or hotels. We run steps 4 to 6, and we can help you with the visa as a secondary service. This guide is deliberately not a package: you choose each piece.

Step 1: check your visit visa route first

A UAE visit visa is an entry permit for tourism or a visit. ICP issues it through its Smart Services Platform, and Dubai-issued visas also go through GDRFA Dubai. Which route applies to you, how long it lasts and what it costs depend on your passport, your travel history and your airline, and the rules change. We do not quote fees here.

Before you pay for anything else, check that your passport has enough validity left and that your visa dates cover your whole stay. Our page on the UAE visit visa from India has the current checklist. Until it is published, ask us on WhatsApp and we will point you to the official source.

Step 2: flights and your arrival terminal

Dubai International has three passenger terminals, and which one you use depends on your airline and booking. Check your ticket, not just the airline name, and share your flight number so the driver tracks the landing time.

If you land at Terminal 3, our Terminal 3 arrivals guide shows the walk from passport control to the meeting point. Everything you need on the other side of immigration is covered in arriving in Dubai on a visit visa.

Step 3: choose where to stay

Your area decides your daily drive. Downtown and Business Bay are central. Dubai Marina and Palm Jumeirah are about 45 minutes to 1 hour from Dubai International in typical traffic. Deira and Bur Dubai are the closest to the airport and the Gold Souk. Our guide on where to stay in Dubai compares them.

Step 4: book the airport pickup

A DXB airport transfer means a chauffeur waits in the arrivals hall with your name on a board and tracks your flight. For a family with 4 to 6 bags, ask for a van or an SUV rather than a sedan, and list the number of people and the bags in your first message. Some vehicles come from partners rather than our own fleet, subject to availability.

Step 5: pick two or three days out

A first-time plan from India usually fills like this:

  • Day 1: rest, then the Dubai Creek and Gold Souk area in the evening.
  • Day 2: Downtown, Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall, then the fountain show after dark.
  • Day 3: a desert safari with a pickup from the hotel.
  • Day 4: Abu Dhabi for Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, about 140 km each way by road (typical figure from a mapping service).

Browse our private tours for the options we run. If cricket is the reason for the trip, read getting to the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

Step 6: when to go

November to March is the cool season. June to September is hot. December adds National Day on 2 and 3 December and the Dubai Shopping Festival from 4 December 2026, so book cars and tours early. Month by month detail is in the best time to visit Dubai.

Step 7: the return transfer

Book the return pickup before you leave home, with the hotel pickup time and your departure terminal. Allow time for the road to Dubai International, longer in the evening, and for check-in at your airline’s terminal. The Dubai travel guide links the rest of the planning in one place.

Questions and answers

What is the right order to plan a Dubai trip from India?

Start with the visa, because it decides whether you can travel on your dates. Then book flights, choose where to stay, arrange the airport pickup, add two or three days of tours, and book the return transfer. Send your arrival terminal and flight number for the pickup once your ticket is issued.

How do I get a UAE visit visa from India?

Visit visas are issued as an entry permit through official UAE channels: ICP's Smart Services Platform for most emirates, or GDRFA Dubai for visas issued in Dubai. Eligibility, validity and fees depend on your passport and route and change over time, so confirm the current terms on the official site or with the airline or agent that sponsors your visa.

Which terminal will I arrive at in Dubai?

It depends on your airline and booking. Dubai International has three passenger terminals, so check your ticket, then tell us the flight number so the driver is in the right arrivals hall. Our Terminal 1, 2 and 3 arrivals guides cover each one.

How long should a first trip to Dubai from India be?

Four to five nights covers a city day, a desert safari, Abu Dhabi as a day trip and a free day. Fewer than three nights is mostly airport and hotel time. Add a night if you want Hatta or the northern emirates.

When is the best time to visit Dubai from India?

November to March is the cool season, and June to September is very hot by day. December has the National Day holiday on 2 and 3 December and the Dubai Shopping Festival from 4 December 2026, so hotels and cars are in demand.

Can Assure arrange the airport pickup and tours together?

Yes. Assure is an RTA licensed operator with 10+ years in Dubai. We run airport pickups, chauffeur days and private tours, and you can message us on WhatsApp 24/7. Prices are quoted on WhatsApp after we know your dates, group size and route. Partner vehicles are available through our partner network, subject to availability.

Do I need a driver if I only have a few days in Dubai?

It saves time on a short trip. Sights sit 30 to 90 minutes apart: Downtown to Palm Jumeirah, the desert, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah. A driver removes the queue for a taxi at peak hour and the parking at each stop. For a single night you may only need the airport transfers.
