How the 12 seats are laid out

The Commuter has 13 seats including the driver’s: 1 front passenger seat and 11 rear seats in 4 rows. That leaves room for 12 passengers. With every seat taken, it carries 3 large suitcases and 6 cabin bags.

  • Body: 5,915 mm long, with a sliding side door for the rear rows.
  • Engine: a 3.5 L V6 petrol or a 2.8 L diesel, depending on the vehicle.
  • Access: no wheelchair ramp. Tell us in advance if anyone uses a wheelchair.

Who it suits, and who it does not

  • Suits: 8 to 12 people with mostly cabin bags. Think of a family reunion heading out for the day, or colleagues going to a trade show.
  • Does not suit: 12 people who each check a large suitcase. Three large cases is the limit. For that group, the 13-seat Mercedes-Benz Sprinter from the Assure fleet takes 6 large cases and one more passenger.
  • Too big: 6 people or fewer. One of our vans with driver is a better size for that group.

What it is booked for

Can I rent a Toyota HiAce in Dubai without a driver?

Is the HiAce a good choice for a city tour?
