What happens to my pickup if the flight is late or early?
Airport pickup waiting time starts from your actual landing, not the printed timetable. You give us the flight number when you book, and your chauffeur tracks that flight, so the pickup follows the aircraft and not the printed timetable. A flight that lands 90 minutes late means a driver who arrives 90 minutes later, with no new booking.
An early landing works the same way. The driver moves up to meet the real time. Tell us if you are on a connecting flight, because a changed flight number needs a message from you.
Waiting time starts when the aircraft lands. That matters at Dubai International, where passport control, baggage and customs can take longer than the flight itself.
How long will the driver wait after landing?
The free waiting period is confirmed with your quote, because it depends on the airport, the terminal and the vehicle. We do not publish one number for every trip.

Ask for it in writing before you travel. Any waiting beyond the free period is quoted, not invented on the day.
Common causes of a long wait inside the terminal:
- A full immigration hall after several wide-body flights land together.
- Families with children, who use the staffed counters rather than the smart gates, according to Dubai Airports.
- Late bags on the carousel.
- A first visit with a visa to check.
Send a short WhatsApp message to your driver when you reach baggage claim. Then the driver knows how long you still need.
What if the flight is diverted to another UAE airport?
Diversions are rare, but they do happen in fog or when a runway is closed. The usual alternates for Dubai are Al Maktoum International (DWC) and Sharjah (SHJ).
DXB to DWC is about 61 km by road and roughly 70 minutes without traffic. That is why the driver cannot wait where they are.
- The airline tells you the new airport.
- You message us on WhatsApp with the new airport and terminal.
- We confirm the new pickup and any change to the quote, then the driver moves.
Check the airline’s own customer pages for what it does with your bags and onward travel. We can only speak for the ground transfer. If a diversion leaves you far from your hotel, travelling by road when flights are disrupted covers the next steps.
What if I cannot find my driver?
Dubai Airports has no kerbside pick-up area at arrivals. Drivers use the car park at each terminal, as its FAQ page explains. So your chauffeur meets you inside the arrivals hall, then walks you to the car.

If you do not see your name on a board:
- Stay inside the hall, near the exit from customs.
- Open the WhatsApp message from your driver with the meeting point.
- Message back with what you can see, such as a coffee shop or a pillar number.
- Call us if there is no reply within a few minutes.
At Terminal 3, Dubai Airports runs DXB Greet and Go, a QR code kiosk for registered limousine companies. Ask us whether it applies to your pickup. Our guide to meet and greet at Dubai airport explains the other options. For the steps from gate to car, read the DXB arrival process.
What should I send when booking?
- Flight number and arrival date.
- Every passenger’s name, spelled as on the passport.
- Number of bags and any oversize items, such as golf clubs or a pram.
- Drop-off address and a WhatsApp number that works on landing.
- The ages of any children, so the right car and child seats are planned.

Landing after midnight needs the same details. Our late-night arrivals guide covers what is open at that hour. If your driver will wait at the car park, see DXB pickup parking.
What if I need to change or cancel?
Tell us on WhatsApp as early as you can. Moving the time or the drop-off address is simple before the car has left. The cancellation terms are confirmed in your quote and on our terms page, so ask before you pay for anything.
