ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi is the capital’s main exhibition venue, with 16 halls according to the ADIPEC organiser. Parking there changes with the show. On most days you can book a space online. During ADIPEC, visitor parking closes and drivers are sent to Park and Ride.
Where is ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi?
ADNEC sits on Abu Dhabi island, about 9 km by road from the Corniche. Three streets carry its car park entrances: President Joko Widodo Street, Al Multaqa Street and Al Khaleej Al Arabi Street.

Two hotels mark the site. The Aloft hotel stands beside Car Park A, and the Andaz Capital Gate hotel is closest to Car Park B. Marina Hall, which ADIPEC numbers as Hall 16, sits at the Al Khaleej Al Arabi Street end by car parks D and E.
Which car park should you use?
ADNEC’s FAQ counts 6,000 spaces in its two multi-storey car parks, plus 700 more at the marina parking. Staff manage traffic on site 24 hours a day, and a valet service is available.
| Car park | Entrance | Closest to |
|---|---|---|
| A | President Joko Widodo Street | The Aloft hotel and the ICC |
| B | Al Multaqa Street | The Andaz Capital Gate hotel |
| D | Al Khaleej Al Arabi Street, by Al Khaleej Al Arabi Park 4 | Marina Hall |
| E | Al Khaleej Al Arabi Street, just after Marina Hall | Marina Hall and the main centre |
| VIP Grandstand and VIP Central Plaza | Map pins only on adnec.ae | Not described publicly |
Pick the car park by the hall you need first. A and B suit the main halls and the ICC. D and E suit Marina Hall and the waterfront side.
Can you book parking at ADNEC in advance?
Yes, for car parks A and B. The online parking page on adnec.ae opens a SKIDATA portal. You register your number plate, and a QR code comes back by email. The QR code is mandatory to enter and leave.
The portal wants the plate written without spaces or dashes.
| Emirate | Plate on the car | How to type it |
|---|---|---|
| Abu Dhabi | Category 50, number 12345 | 5012345 |
| Dubai | Category A, number 12345 | A12345 |
| Sharjah | Category 1, number 12345 | 112345 |
A parking booking does not include entry to the event. Fees and terms are set out in the portal, not on the ADNEC page, so read them before you pay. Bring the QR code on your phone, not only on a laptop.
ADIPEC week: why there is no visitor parking, and how Park and Ride works
ADIPEC 2026 runs from Monday 2 to Thursday 5 November. The organiser’s travel page says on-site parking is not available. If you drive, you park at a Park and Ride site and take a free shuttle.
| Zone | Car parks | Where the shuttle stops at ADNEC |
|---|---|---|
| Zone 1 | Shahama, Deerfields Mall, Al Raha | Near the roundabout entrance |
| Zone 2 | Marina Mall, Sas Al Nakhl | Near Marina Hall Car Park D |
- Shuttles run every 20 minutes, 08:00 to 19:30, and follow live traffic.
- On 2 November, the opening day, Zone 2 opens at 06:00.
- Free hotel shuttles leave selected Abu Dhabi hotels every 30 minutes, 08:00 to 12:00 and 16:00 to 19:00, to the ADNEC roundabout entrance.
- The halls open 10:00 to 18:30 from 2 to 4 November, and 10:00 to 17:30 on 5 November.
From Dubai, Park and Ride means driving almost the whole way, parking in Al Raha or Shahama, then waiting for a bus. Our ADIPEC chauffeur page covers that week in detail, from exhibitor team cars to the return after 18:30.
What changes during IDEX and the other big shows?
The busiest shows bring their own traffic plans. Check the organiser’s site for each one, because ADNEC’s car park rules do not always apply.
| Show | Next dates | Venue |
|---|---|---|
| ADIPEC | 2 to 5 November 2026 | ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi |
| IDEX, with NAVDEX | 25 to 29 January 2027 | ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi |
| ADIHEX | 27 August to 5 September 2027 | ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi |
When we checked on 17 October 2026, idexuae.ae had not published a visitor parking plan for IDEX 2027. Our UAE events calendar tracks dates across both emirates. The events chauffeur service lists every show we plan cars for.
Where do taxis and chauffeur cars drop off?

On a normal show day, ADNEC says taxis can be found at the Aloft and Andaz hotel entrances. You can pre-book one on TransAD’s line, 600 53 53 53, or in the Abu Dhabi Taxi app. Bus 040 also serves the venue seven days a week.
During ADIPEC, the organiser names two taxi drop-off and pickup points.
- Marina Hall (Hall 16), near Car Park E
- Opposite the Aloft hotel, in the Embassies area
Neither ADNEC nor ADIPEC lists a separate set-down point for private cars. Your chauffeur follows the traffic marshals and sends you the exact spot on WhatsApp. Name your first hall when you book, so you are set down at the nearer side.
How long is the drive from Dubai and from Zayed International?
Figures are OSRM road distances and drive times without traffic, checked on 17 October 2026.
| From | Road distance to ADNEC | Without traffic |
|---|---|---|
| Dubai Marina | about 113 km | about 1 hour 10 minutes |
| Downtown Dubai | about 132 km | about 1 hour 25 minutes |
| Dubai International (DXB) | about 143 km | about 1 hour 35 minutes |
| Al Maktoum International (DWC) | about 112 km | about 1 hour 20 minutes |
| Zayed International (AUH) | about 34 km | about 30 minutes (ADNEC says 15) |
| Yas Island | about 25 km | about 20 minutes |
| Saadiyat Island | about 20 km | about 20 minutes |

Cars from Dubai come in on the E11. Since 4 May 2026, the Darb gate at Ghantoot on Sheikh Maktoum bin Rashid Street charges AED 4 per crossing, 24 hours a day. Abu Dhabi’s other Darb gates charge 7am to 9am and 3pm to 7pm, Monday to Saturday.
Weekday shows open at 10:00, so the drive from Dubai falls in the 7am to 9am toll and traffic peak. For a 10:00 start we suggest leaving Downtown Dubai by about 07:45, which leaves 50 minutes for slow traffic. Our Dubai to Abu Dhabi transfer runs the same road both ways. The guide to getting from Dubai to Abu Dhabi compares the bus, taxi and private car.
Flying in for a show? All flights at Zayed International use Terminal A, and our Terminal A arrivals guide explains where a driver meets you. Pickups there are on request: see Zayed International transfers.
Staying in Dubai or Abu Dhabi for an ADNEC show?
Stay in Dubai and the daily return from Downtown is about 264 km. That is close to 3 hours of driving without traffic, before the morning peak. It suits a 1 or 2 day visit, or a team already based in Dubai.
Stay in Abu Dhabi and the drive shrinks to minutes: the Corniche is about 9 km away. During ADIPEC, hotels such as the Park Rotana, Sheraton Abu Dhabi, Fairmont, Grand Hyatt and Shangri-La sit on the free hotel shuttle routes.
Trips that start in Dubai run under Assure’s RTA licence. Trips that start inside Abu Dhabi need a partner car licensed there, so they are on request. Our chauffeur service in Abu Dhabi explains what we can arrange in the capital. For a VIP delegate, a limousine with chauffeur such as a Mercedes-Benz S-Class seats 3 in the rear.
Tips for a show day at ADNEC
- Register on the organiser’s site and keep the badge or ticket on your phone.
- Check whether the show uses ADNEC car parks or a Park and Ride plan.
- If you drive to car park A or B, book online and save the QR code.
- Note your first hall: the main halls and the ICC, or Marina Hall (Hall 16).
- Know the closing time, such as 18:30 on the first three ADIPEC days.
- Allow for the Ghantoot toll and peak-hour gates when you drive from Dubai.
- Send your driver the hall and the finish time on WhatsApp the evening before.
The same capital-venue planning applies to concerts at Etihad Arena on Yas Bay, about 25 km away. In December, our Abu Dhabi Grand Prix visitor guide covers race weekend at Yas Marina Circuit.
