The Transit Bus, booked with a chauffeur

The Ford Transit Bus on this page seats 14 passengers, with a chauffeur driving for the whole booking. It is not offered as a self-drive van. It is available through our partner network, subject to availability, and we confirm the exact vehicle in writing before your booking is final.

Which Transit Bus you get

Ford’s UAE range has two passenger versions: the 410L medium-roof 15-seater and the 460E high-roof 18-seater. Our 14-passenger figure is planned on the medium-roof bus, with one seat for the driver.

  • Engine: Ford’s 2.0 L EcoBlue diesel with an automatic gearbox.
  • Storage: Ford’s 2025 UAE launch release lists overhead storage shelving on the bus versions, which gives jackets and laptop bags a place off the seats. Ask whether the partner’s bus has the shelves.
  • Access: a sliding side door and no wheelchair ramp.

The photo is a representative Ford studio image, so the bus that arrives can differ in colour, roof height and model year.

Seats against suitcases

With all 14 seats in use, the Transit takes 3 large suitcases and 6 cabin bags.

  • A good fit: 10 to 14 people travelling light. An exhibition team shuttling between a hotel and its stand is a typical booking.
  • A poor fit: an airport arrival where most people check a large case. The 13-seat Mercedes-Benz Sprinter from the Assure fleet takes 6 large cases for one fewer passenger.
  • Same bags, fewer seats: the Toyota HiAce Commuter also takes 3 large cases but seats 12. The Transit earns its place at 13 or 14 people.

What it is booked for

  • Corporate days: a team on site visits and meetings, with the bus booked by the hour. Repeat bookings can run through a corporate account with monthly invoicing.
  • Events: delegate and exhibitor runs to Dubai venues, planned with our event chauffeur service.
  • Airport pickups: the chauffeur meets your group in the arrivals hall holding a name board, at Dubai International or Al Maktoum International (DWC). Add a luggage vehicle if the group checks more than 3 large cases.
  • Sightseeing: a private day around Dubai for a group of friends or colleagues.

Questions and answers

Can I rent the Ford Transit Bus for self-drive?

No. Assure is an RTA-licensed chauffeur company and only supplies vehicles with a driver. The Transit Bus comes with a chauffeur for the whole booking, so nobody in your group needs a UAE licence. The driver also deals with parking and drop-off points at hotels, offices and venues.

How many passengers does the Ford Transit Bus carry?

We plan on 14 passengers, based on the 15-seat medium-roof bus with one seat for the driver. Ford also sells an 18-seat high-roof version in the UAE. For 15 to 18 people, ask whether a partner has one free on your date. Otherwise the 19-seat Mercedes-Benz Sprinter in the Assure fleet covers the group.

How much luggage fits in the Transit Bus?

With all 14 seats in use, it takes 3 large suitcases and 6 cabin bags. That suits a team carrying laptop bags and day packs. A group checking more large cases needs a second vehicle, or the 13-seat Sprinter, which takes 6 large suitcases. Send the bag count and we plan around it.

Should I choose the Transit Bus or the Toyota HiAce?

Choose by head count, because the luggage is the same. Both take 3 large suitcases and 6 cabin bags. The Transit seats 14 and the HiAce Commuter seats 12, so the Transit is the one for 13 or 14 people. Both come from partner operators, subject to availability on your date.

Is the Transit Bus an Assure vehicle?

No. It is supplied by licensed partner operators and is subject to availability. Assure's own minibus is the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter. We confirm the exact Transit, its roof height, colour and model year in writing before your booking is final. The photo here is a representative Ford image.
