The couple’s car is the one in every arrival photo, so choose it for the dress first and the badge second. Every car on this page comes with a chauffeur.

Colour comes with the car, not with the day. If the photos need a white car, say so in your first message, because the model on offer follows the colour.

A stretch for the wedding party

Bridesmaids or groomsmen who want to ride as one group can book a stretch. Stretch limousines for 8 to 12 passengers, from the Chrysler 300 to the Hummer H2, are available through our partner network, subject to availability. Each one is on the stretch limousines page. Keep the stretch for the party rather than the bride: side benches and a low roof are hard work in a full gown.

Classic and vintage cars

Assure books every wedding car with a chauffeur, never as a self-drive rental. No classic or vintage model is in our partner listings yet. If your theme depends on one, ask before you print the invitations.

How many hours to book

Minimum hours depend on the car and the partner, and both are confirmed with your quote. Count the hours from the first pickup to the last drop-off, with every wait at a venue included.

A sample plan for a ceremony at Madinat Jumeirah, with the bride getting ready in Downtown Dubai:

1. 15:00: pickup at the hotel in Downtown Dubai. Madinat Jumeirah is about 15 km away, 16 minutes without traffic, but leave 45 minutes on a wedding day.
2. 16:00: ceremony. The chauffeur waits at the entrance with the door ready.
3. 17:00: photos with the hotel’s agreement, with Burj Al Arab next door as the backdrop.
4. 18:30: on to the reception, then the car is released.

That plan runs 3 hours 30 minutes. Add a hotel drop-off after the reception and it becomes a full evening.

Photo stops

Agree the stops with your photographer before the day, and send the list with your booking. A hotel forecourt, a car park or a venue’s garden gate works better than a roadside. Your chauffeur stops only where stopping is allowed, and each stop adds to the hours.

Decoration: what can go on the car

• The car’s owner decides. Assure sets the rules for its own fleet and each partner for theirs. Ask before your florist designs anything for the bonnet.
• Keep the plates, lights, windscreen and windows clear. Abu Dhabi Police have listed additions that impede visibility, and colouring the windscreen or the driver’s window, among traffic violations.
• Fit fresh flowers last. Give us your florist’s name and arrival time, so the car reaches the pickup point early enough to be dressed.
• Signs go below the rear window, with the number plate still fully readable.

Day plans for different weddings

Western ceremony and reception

• The groom and best man go ahead in the second car, 30 minutes before the bride.
• The bride and her father or escort follow in the decorated car.
• After the ceremony, the couple ride together to the photo stops.
• If the reception is at another venue, a coach takes the guests while the couple take photos.

South Asian weddings: mehndi, nikkah, baraat and walima

When the events run over several days, each day is booked with its own hours and vehicles.

• Mehndi: the main need is guest shuttles between the hotels and the venue.
• Nikkah: one car for the groom and close family, a second for the bride.
• Baraat: ask the venue what it allows at the entrance, such as a dhol or a horse, and where the cars wait while the procession forms.
• Rukhsati or vidaai: the bride leaves with the groom, so this is the decorated car’s moment.
• Walima or reception: quoted separately when it falls on another day.

Emirati and Arab weddings

• If the women’s and men’s celebrations are in separate halls or at separate times, book a car plan for each side.
• Give us the time the hall expects the bride, because her car may run late into the evening.
• For privacy on the way in, the Bentley Flying Spur’s blinds are worked from a touch-screen remote in the rear.
• Family flying in from abroad can be met at the airport that week, added to the same request.

Distances and times come from OSRM on OpenStreetMap road data. DXB figures shift with the terminal you leave from. Add time for traffic on the day, and more at the evening rush hour.

Families with luggage fit best in our vans with driver, such as the Mercedes-Benz V-Class with sliding doors on both sides. Groups between 13 and 19 suit a minibus with driver. A 35-seat or 50-seat coach handles guest loops from several hotels to one venue, through our bus and coach rental.

Guests flying in are met in the arrivals hall by a chauffeur holding a board with their name. At DXB there is no pick-up area at Arrivals, so the car waits in the terminal car park and the chauffeur walks your guests to it.

Weddings in Abu Dhabi and Ras Al Khaimah

• Emirates Palace, Abu Dhabi: about 146 km from Downtown Dubai, around 1 hour 35 minutes without traffic.
• Ras Al Khaimah city: about 109 km from Downtown Dubai, around 1 hour 20 minutes. Ras Al Khaimah International Airport is about 112 km.

A car that starts in Dubai can take the couple and guests there and back under Assure’s RTA licence. Runs that start and end inside Abu Dhabi or Ras Al Khaimah, such as hotel loops on the day, need a partner licensed in that emirate. Ask us to confirm one for your dates. Convoys and arrival order

Three or four wedding cars leaving a hotel together still drive as ordinary traffic, each in its lane. Agree the arrival order at the venue rather than trying to hold it on the road. Keep heads and arms inside: Abu Dhabi Police have listed leaning or standing out of a window or sunroof as a violation.

2. Venue names and every pickup address.
3. The car you want, a second choice and the colour.
4. Hours, from the first pickup to the last drop-off.
5. Decoration: who supplies it and when the florist arrives.
6. Guest numbers for shuttles, plus any airport arrivals.
