Chauffeur service for embassies, government entities and official delegations

Assure provides chauffeur-driven cars and vans for embassies, consulates, protocol offices and government departments in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Ras Al Khaimah: extra cars for visiting ministers, delegations, national-day receptions and peak weeks. Assure supplies cars and chauffeurs only, with no security and no police escort. Organisations book through a written proposal or contract.

This page is for protocol officers, embassy and consulate administrators, and the transport or procurement teams of government and semi-government bodies. Guests do not book here. Your organisation does, once, and the cars run under that arrangement.

Why would an embassy or consulate add Assure cars?

Most missions run their own drivers. That works until a minister lands with a delegation of twelve, or a national-day reception puts 400 guests on the road in one evening. Then the mission needs more cars than its pool holds, for a few days only.

Assure supplies those extra cars and chauffeurs. Your protocol office keeps control of the programme. We provide vehicles, drivers and one transport coordinator for the dates you name.

Typical requests:

  • Visiting ministers and delegations. A lead car, the principal’s car, support cars and a luggage van, planned in a fixed order.
  • National-day receptions. Guest cars from hotels to the venue and back, in waves.
  • Consular events. Evening runs for guests, speakers and staff.
  • Peak weeks. Summit weeks, exhibition weeks and state visits, when your own drivers are fully booked.
  • Staff and family movements. Airport runs for new arrivals and visiting officials, booked ahead on your account.

Do you provide security or a police escort?

No. Assure supplies cars and chauffeurs only. We do not provide security staff, bodyguards or a police escort.

If a movement needs an escort, the host organisation requests it through the police of the emirate. Our delegation transport planning guide explains the steps and the contact chain. Share the approved timings with us, and drivers follow them exactly.

Where do embassy and consulate trips go in the UAE?

Embassies are in Abu Dhabi, the federal capital. Many countries also keep a consulate or office in Dubai. Missions are not in one block. The British Embassy in Abu Dhabi is on Al Hisn Street, Al Markaziyah West. The German Embassy is in a tower at Abu Dhabi Mall. The British Embassy Dubai office is on Al Seef Road, Bur Dubai, near Dubai Creekside.

Confirm each mission’s current address on its own website before the run, and note that public access to many missions is by appointment only.

Official programmes also touch these places:

  • Qasr Al Watan, the Presidential Palace in Abu Dhabi.
  • ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi, on Khaleej Al Arabi Street, the venue for large conferences and exhibitions.
  • Zayed International (AUH) and Al Bateen Executive Airport, the main arrival points in the capital. Our guide to Al Bateen Executive Airport and our note on private jet arrivals cover the terminal process.
  • Dubai International (DXB), where most delegations still land. See our Dubai airport transfers.

For the route detail between these places, read our guide to reaching Abu Dhabi embassies and Dubai consulates.

How long do the drives between these places take?

Distances and times are road figures without traffic, from OSRM routing on OpenStreetMap data, checked on 25 October 2026. Add a buffer for weekday peaks and for security checks at the venue gate.

From To Road distance Without traffic
Zayed International (AUH) Al Bateen Executive Airport about 21 km about 20 minutes
Zayed International (AUH) Al Bateen marina area about 38 km about 31 minutes
Zayed International (AUH) Al Hisn Street, Al Markaziyah West about 35 km about 31 minutes
Zayed International (AUH) Qasr Al Watan about 41 km about 34 minutes
Zayed International (AUH) ADNEC Centre about 24 km about 22 minutes
Al Hisn Street Qasr Al Watan about 7 km about 9 minutes
Al Hisn Street ADNEC Centre about 13 km about 14 minutes
Qasr Al Watan ADNEC Centre about 18 km about 18 minutes
DXB Al Seef Road, Bur Dubai about 19 km about 31 minutes
DXB Zayed International (AUH) about 134 km about 104 minutes
DXB Al Hisn Street, Abu Dhabi about 160 km about 118 minutes
DXB Qasr Al Watan about 166 km about 123 minutes
DXB ADNEC Centre about 151 km about 113 minutes
Al Seef Road, Bur Dubai Al Hisn Street, Abu Dhabi about 148 km about 95 minutes

Two points follow from the table. A Dubai to Abu Dhabi movement takes close to two hours each way. A morning meeting in Abu Dhabi and an evening event in Dubai therefore need a plan for the return leg. Inside the capital, runs between the embassy streets and Qasr Al Watan are short, so the delay comes from the gate, not the road.

Can you move an official delegation between Dubai and Abu Dhabi?

Yes. Many delegations land at DXB, spend a day in Abu Dhabi and sleep in Dubai, or the reverse. One plan covers the whole movement, and the cars stay with the delegation across both emirates.

Our Dubai to Abu Dhabi intercity transfers page shows the standard route. For a delegation, the same route is planned with a lead car, a rehearsed timing sheet and a separate luggage run.

How does a protocol office set up a movement?

Send the details in this order. The desk replies with a written plan.

  1. Dates and arrival points. Terminal, flight numbers and the expected time at the car.
  2. The arrival list. Names, titles and the car each person rides in.
  3. The motorcade order. Lead car, principal’s car, support cars and luggage van.
  4. The programme. Each stop, the drop-off point at each venue and the target time.
  5. The contact chain. Your protocol officer and the Assure transport coordinator, plus a shared WhatsApp group with the lead driver.
  6. Rehearsal. A coordinator drives the route at the same hour and weekday, then shares the timing sheet.

Drivers receive only their own leg of the plan. They do not discuss the delegation or the itinerary outside that group.

Which cars suit a ministerial visit or a reception?

Use Vehicle Seats
Principal’s car Mercedes S-Class or BMW 7 Series 3
Support car for senior staff GMC Yukon 6
Interpreters and advisers Mercedes V-Class 6
Larger groups Mercedes Sprinter 13
Reception guest waves Toyota Coaster 22
Full delegation Coach through our partner network 35

Chauffeurs wear a dark suit and tie and carry a name board only where your protocol office asks for one. Flags and signage on a vehicle need written approval from the host. See the full range in our fleet.

How do government departments buy?

Government and semi-government entities buy through their own vendor registration and procurement process. Assure sends company details, a written proposal and contract terms for your procurement team to review. This page claims no approval or listing on any government supplier register.

Departments that book all year usually prefer a framework: a monthly account or a contract with agreed notice periods and invoicing. Read how that works on our chauffeur contracts page, or see the wider corporate accounts overview. Ask for service levels, confidentiality terms and replacement-car arrangements in the proposal, and they are agreed in the contract.

What about Abu Dhabi and Ras Al Khaimah?

Assure serves Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Ras Al Khaimah. Your car comes from the Assure fleet or our partner network, confirmed when you book. Partner cars are available through our partner network, subject to availability.

For full-day programmes across two emirates, see full-day chauffeur service. The chauffeur service in Abu Dhabi page covers the capital in more detail.

What if the guest is a private VIP, not a delegation?

A private person, a family or a high-net-worth individual books differently from an organisation. They usually want one car, one chauffeur and a quiet arrival, not a motorcade. That service is on our VIP and executive chauffeur page.

  • Number of cars, vans and coaches in the movement, and their classes
  • Hours on duty each day and the number of days
  • Routes between Dubai and Abu Dhabi, and any overnight stays for drivers
  • Airport or private-jet terminal arrivals and the waiting time they need
  • Early starts, late finishes and rehearsal runs before the visit

Questions and answers

Can you move an official delegation between Dubai and Abu Dhabi?

Yes. A typical run is from DXB or a Dubai hotel to Abu Dhabi, about 134 km and 1 h 45 minutes from DXB to Zayed International without traffic. Send the arrival list, the order of cars and the timings. The desk replies with a vehicle plan, and the cars come from the Assure fleet or our partner network.

Do you provide security or police escorts?

No. Assure supplies cars and chauffeurs only. We do not provide security staff or a police escort. The host organisation requests any escort through the police of the emirate, as set out in our delegation planning guide. Share the approved timings with us so drivers can follow them exactly.

Our embassy has its own drivers. Why add Assure?

Most missions run a small pool of their own drivers. Assure adds cars when a visiting minister, a national-day reception or a consular event needs more vehicles than the pool holds. The embassy keeps control of the programme and we supply the extra cars and chauffeurs for the dates you name.

How do government departments buy from Assure?

Through the entity's own vendor registration and procurement process. We send company details, a written proposal and contract terms for your procurement team to review. This page makes no claim of approved-supplier status. Ask us for the documents your process requires and we reply in writing.

Can you work to a protocol order and an arrival list?

Yes. Send the arrival list, the car order and the named contact at your protocol office. Drivers receive only their own leg of the plan. One transport coordinator from Assure stays in contact with your protocol officer, and drivers take instructions from that coordinator alone.

Do you handle VIP individuals as well as official delegations?

Yes. A private person or family can book a chauffeur with a car such as a Mercedes S-Class or BMW 7 Series from the Assure fleet. Details are on our VIP and executive chauffeur page. This page is for organisations that book on an account, a proposal or a contract.

Where do cars for Abu Dhabi come from?

Your car comes from the Assure fleet or our partner network, confirmed when you book. Partner cars are available through our partner network, subject to availability. Tell us the dates early for a national-day week or a large movement, so the full number of cars is confirmed before the visit.
